These first 3 photos are from George Beukema and are of his father:
My father, Garrett Beukema, was in the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. I know that he went through the North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Southern France. He was wounded in the battle for the Colmar Pocket. He was awarded a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. I have some pictures that where taken, but I can't identify where or when they where taken. Maybe someone can identify other individuals or where these photos where taken. If you can identify anyone or where these might have been taken, please let me know. Thanks |
